EXECUTIVE BOARD

President: Jonah Pichette
Major: AYA Social Studies and History
Year: 4th Year Senior
Hometown: North Royalton, Ohio
Jonah's Why:
Being an educator was not a lifelong dream of mine. It truly was something I one day woke up knowing I was born to pursue. I've always had teachers who had inspired me, helped me grow, and gave me room to challenge the world as it is. I felt that without those experiences I would not be the dynamic leader I am. I want to provide a safe, and caring environment for others to express themselves while learning. Studying history was the given once I realized I wanted to inspire the future generations to build on the foundation of today. I've always had a passion for the past, seeking to change the future, while living in the present. There is no better way to do that than to teach history.

Gabby’s Why:

As a Middle School Education major, I want to influence the lives of students who are overlooked. Early adolescence is a tough time, and I intend to be a positive role model to steer students in the right direction. I have no idea what my students will bring to class everyday, but I know that I will provide a nurturing and loving environment for them. I have always loved volunteering with kids, and I have always known that I want to teach. I have a passion for learning and helping others, and I can’t wait to share that with the world!

Major: Early Childhood Inclusive Teacher Preparation Program

Year: 2nd year

Hometown: Midland, Ohio

Sally’s Why:

Through out my childhood I grew up playing school. Of course I was always the teacher, asking my friends to be the students. When it came to make a decision on what to study, education was the perfect fit. I want to create an environment that allows my future students to feel happy, encouraged and safe. I want to help young students learn to love school and education. I’m here to make a change in children’s lives.
